'Golems Answer' an interactive/immersive exchange of  dance and form that enables a feeling of connection to legends of hidden answers.

Golem-  a morphic being of clay, embedded with organic material and memories of the past.

The mouth is poised open. There is paper and a pen by her side with an invitation “Golems Answer- please write your question on a piece of paper, something you wish or desire the answer for’  and please roll it in into a scroll and insert it into Golem’s mouth”

Slowly, Golem rises, shape shifting, moves and dances the answer, with you as witness, and an invitation to move or receive, finding a resolution together.

Disclaimer- Golem is not always right.

Suzi Cunningham

Suzi Cunningham a Scottish-based live-performance artist and dancer.

Suzi is deeply influenced by Butoh and spending time in the natural world. Through Butoh dance, she explores the archaeology of the body, uncovering layers of forgotten life and connecting to all living matter. In contrast, she explores relationships with manufactured materials, making embodied connections to objects and props in a way that borders transformation.

Her work is daring and often political,  exploring how the primal body meets the modern world.

A photograph of Suzi taken from a slightly low angle looking to the right of frame. They appear to be looking into the distance, with one hand raised as if to reach out.
