space: LIMINAL BEING
PAIX
PERFORMANCE TO CAMERA
Access: V / S
(Highly visual with no text / Developed sound element)
SPACE: Liminal Being. Liminal beings are those who cannot be easily categorised into a single category of existence. Borderless. Timeless. Boundary free dimensions. Crossing the threshold. Liminal Space is to be in process; to have left a space behind. To not have arrived. Transitioning. Journeying. Embracing the mystery and power of moving from what has been to what will be and all that is.
Suspended in twilight
existence is
dying and emerging
simultaneously
living
by the light of the sun
Shedding by the light of the night
no longer clock watching
it's all blurring together now
PAIX is an artist, organiser, facilitator and mentor. Her work experiments with multiple forms of expression and she enjoys moving in the space between established art forms. The power in her practice is centred around healing; self-exploration, love, the diasporic experience, oral storytelling traditions, the metaphysical, memory, her ancestral heritage, and a desire to contribute to the black archive for present and future generations. With a view to re-imagining, her artistic process is currently centred around care and playful exploration without judgement and in creating space for what can and does emerge and flourish in safe and healing spaces that centre black intersectional experiences. Recently she has been exploring 'space' in all its manifestations as an element of healing and our connection to voice, environment, movement and finding love and home in self and community.

BUZZCUT IS PAY WHAT YOU CAN
We have not charged ticket prices this year to keep the Festival as open access as we can. However, we encourage you to consider how much you can afford to pay to experience all the work in the festival. All funds will be used to support performance makers to develop new work.
