There is no pre-determined outcome, only a suggested solution for an unexplained occurrence. An idea proposed for the sake of argument so that it can be tested to see if it might be true. A proposed explanation.

Hypothesis is a light-hearted exploration of the relationship between language and meaning, memory and reality and the gaps in between - what is and what could be. Through joining text, sound and image it questions, dissects and diverts the meaning of itself in an attempt to understand what it means to make (decisions, work, meaning).

The audience are invited to participate in the creation of the work through playful experimentation, supporting and/or contradicting the predictions in this hypothesis.

Gudrun Soley Sigurdardottir is an Icelandic performance maker, director and teaching artist based in Glasgow. Working within performance, film, installation, music and sound; she uses humour and seriousness in equal measure to interrogate and investigate complex human experiences, often working with bodies and spaces in unexpected ways. Gudrun desires to connect with others, regardless of distance or differences and works in multiple contexts including community halls, schools, prisons, hospitals and theatres across Scotland and internationally. Gudrun is a recipient of BANNER Award, an Artsadmin initiative.
