Important Info for the CCA Programme
affecting Friday 31st March & BUZZCUT BDAY PARTY on Saturday 1st April
We have an important update regarding the BUZZCUT Programme at the CCA on Friday 31st & the BUZZCUT Bday Party on Saturday 1st.
There are ongoing protests against Saramago (the independent bar & restaurant in the CCA), relating to their recent dismissal of workers. There is currently a planned demonstration outside the CCA on Friday 31st between 17:30 - 19:30.
BUZZCUT supports the protests and encourages our audience not to frequent Saramago during our events.
Saramago is a business tenant within the CCA, owned and managed separately from the venue. We therefore plan to proceed with our CCA programme, to allow the artists who have travelled near and far to present their projects.
Drinks purchased at Saramago will not be permitted upstairs to the performance spaces and we will have a flavoured water bar upstairs for our audience members. We can provide recommendations of other nearby bars if you would like a drink in-between shows.
With the Saramago bar not in use, there is a health & safety risk of overcrowding, as the bar takes up a significant portion of the building. We have therefore made the difficult decision to individually ticket each CCA project on Friday 31st. Tickets are on sale now on the CCA website (link in bio).
The programme at Tramway on Thursday 30th & Saturday 1st daytime will remain unticketed.
The BUZZCUT Bday Party at CCA on Saturday 1st will go ahead, and remain ticketed. We are working to a reduced capacity as we will be in the Theatre only; not in Saramago bar. Drinks purchased at Saramago will also not be permitted upstairs.
Thank you for your patience with us as we navigate this challenging situation and we are looking forward to seeing you at the Festival.
